The International Baccalaureate has brought an extra dimension to life at St Leonards School.

Students mix with people of many different nationalities giving them the capacity to feel comfortable in any social context - wherever in the world their future career may be.

The IB programme teaches academic and life skills to widen their horizons and encourage independent thought and learning. As our students will testify, it is also a lot of fun.

St Leonards School, named Scottish Independent School of the Year 2005-2006 by the Sunday Times, may have its roots in the 19th Century but its forward-thinking ethos sets it apart from its rivals.

Our boarding houses have received a glowing report from government inspectors who praised the "warm and welcoming atmosphere" and said pupils had well-focused academic and personal support.

We cater for day and boarding students from age 5 to 19 - providing a seamless education from our junior school St Leonards-New Park right through to university.
